Ingredienser 

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g Gruyère cheese grated
  • 200 g Emmental cheese grated
  • 1 clove Garlic halved
  • 300 ml Dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg grated
  • 1 pinch Black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes

Instruktioner 

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic halves, then discard the garlic.
  2. Pour the wine and lemon juice into the pot and heat gently until hot, but not boiling.
  3. Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  4. Mix the cornstarch with water and stir into the cheese mixture. Continue to cook, stirring, until thickened.
  5. Season with nutmeg and black pepper. Serve with cubes of French bread for dipping.
