Main Ingredients
- 1.5 kg Beef Roast preferably chuck or brisket
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 pcs Onions sliced
- 3 pcs Carrots sliced
- 500 ml Beef Broth
- 2 pcs Bay Leaves
- to taste Salt and Pepper
1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
2. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
3. Melt the butter in a roasting pan over medium heat. Brown the roast on all sides.
4. Add the sliced onions and carrots to the pan, cooking until softened.
5. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves. Bring to a simmer.
6. Cover the roasting pan and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
7. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
