Ingredienser

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 300 ml milk lukewarm
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 250 g butter cold
  • 1 unit egg beaten, for brushing
  • 50 g poppy seeds

Instruktioner 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk.
  2. 2. Add sugar, salt, and flour. Knead the dough until smooth.
  3. 3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Place slices of cold butter on one half of the dough and fold the other half over. Seal the edges.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough again and fold it into thirds. Repeat this process 3 times.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough one last time and cut it into 8 equal pieces. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. 6. Brush the pastries with beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. 7. Let them rise for 20 minutes while preheating the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  8. 8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
